Psalm 26

Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have led a blameless life;

I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

Test me, O LORD, and try me,

examine my heart and my mind;

for your love is ever before me,

Acts 5

The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.  No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 

Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 

As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.  Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.

Prayer

The Apostle Paul’s Prayer: Eph 3:12-21

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.  I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

For this reason I kneel before the Father,

from whom his whole family

in heaven and on earth derives its name. 

I pray that out of his glorious riches

he may strengthen you

with power through his Spirit

in your inner being,

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts

through faith.

And I pray that you,

being rooted and established in love,

may have power,

together with all the saints,

to grasp how wide and long and high and deep

is the love of Christ,

and to know this love

that surpasses knowledge

that you may be filled to the measure

of all the fullness of God.

Now to him

who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,

according to his power

that is at work within us,

to him be glory in the church

and in Christ Jesus

throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

Amen.           

Find a moment of silence and reflect on the words,

“And I pray that you  . . . may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

What is the full measure of God? 

How would God fill you with it?

Pray and ask this of the Lord,

saying to Him that you are ready to receive

all that He has for you.

           

Action

Go into the kitchen and put a glass under the faucet, filling it to over flowing.  Think upon this as a visual for what God wants to happen in your life.
